A block of rooms has been reserved for our out-of-town guests at the Hotel Santa Fe for the nights of October 2 and October 3. Hotel Santa Fe is conveniently located just a half block from Santa Fe’s Rail Yard District and only a few short blocks from the historic Santa Fe Plaza.  The location is an easy walk to restaurants, shops, galleries, and museums in downtown Santa Fe.  A nightly rate of $203 for a junior suite has been secured.  These suites have a bedroom separate from the living space which has a queen size sofa sleeper, so each suite will accommodate up to four people if anyone wants to double up.  Call 800-825-9876 for reservations. Use Group Booking Code #10M67W and mention the Krenc/Montgomery wedding when booking to get this rate. If you wish to come early or stay a few days after the wedding to enjoy the sites of Santa Fe, the hotel is extending this rate for three days prior to and three days after the October 2-3 dates.  Within the hotel property there are also gathering areas if travelling guests want to get together for a drink or just to visit. With the reserved block of rooms Hotel Santa Fe has included a few rooms and suites in their adjacent Hacienda and Spa at a rate of $220/night for a Hacienda room and $259/night for a Hacienda suite.  These rooms are slightly larger than rooms in the main hotel and come with complimentary breakfast and afternoon cocktail hour.

As an option, right now Hotel Santa Fe is running a limited time special for regular rooms in the main hotel at $169/night.  This special requires a minimum two-night stay and the rooms must be paid for when booked and payment is non-refundable.  This special offer is completely separate from the block of rooms reserved for our wedding.

For out-of-town guests who plan to fly into the Albuquerque Sunport, rental cars are readily available at the airport and parking is provided at Hotel Santa Fe. However, as a ground transportation alternative, consider riding the New Mexico Rail Runner Express from Albuquerque to Santa Fe.  Busses leave on a regular schedule from the Albuquerque Sunport to the downtown Albuquerque Rail Runner station and the train stops in Santa Fe just a half block from Hotel Santa Fe.  Santa Fe is an easy walking city and the hotel will provide shuttle service to/from the wedding venue.  If interested in the rail option, go to www.riometro.org where you can find weekday and weekend schedules for the Rail Runner Express along with bus schedules between the Albuquerque Sunport and the downtown Albuquerque rail station.  The train ride is about one and a half hours. One way fare on the Rail Runner is $9 for adults and $7 for seniors.

One final note on travel and accommodations, October 3 is the first day of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.  This nine-day annual event attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world, so hotel rooms in both Albuquerque and Santa Fe and rental cars disappear quickly.  If you plan on being part of our special celebration, make your travel plans early!
